Receptionist – Berlin – Boutique global investment firm
Opportunity to develop a career in business support!
2-year contract to begin, potential for permanent contract thereafter
I’ve been asked to recruit a very important role for one of the world’s leading investment firms with a stylish, boutique office in Berlin. They need a first-class bilingual Receptionist / Team Administrator to join the business ideally in October for an initial period of 2 years, most likely longer / permanent thereafter. You must be able to speak German & English to an advanced professional level. You will be based in the office 5 days per week between the hours of 8am – 16:30 / 17:00 CET.
So, why is this a great opportunity?
The company is a highly respected global investment firm with offices based in Berlin, America, Asia and London. It’s a fantastic company to work for, with a great culture and emphasis on the development of their employees, demonstrated in its extremely low turnover of staff. The benefits here are exceptional and there are also off-sites on occasion to visit other European offices.
Joss Search has placed nearly every member of the business support team, and they are superb colleagues! You would have a great team to learn from, and accountability for the concierge and front of house function.
This is a new role because the current Assistant team are stretched to full capacity so, there’s a real chance to put your own stamp on the role! Your role will be to ensure all guests and callers receive a first-class service and exceptional first impression of the business and office environment.
The functionality of the office and appearance of meeting rooms etc. will be maintained and when reception is less busy, you will also help the Executive Assistants with admin support, building your experience of business support. There will be a lot of projects that you could assist with, if you’re tenacious and keen to learn.
What do you need to apply?
- Have a background in customer service or reception, ideally in hospitality / cabin crew / office environment
- Be able to speak and write German and English to an advanced level, and want to work in an office 5 days per week.
- Be calm under pressure, have a positive, service mindset and enjoy helping others with finesse and a professional style.
What’s on offer?
On top of base salary, the following benefits apply:
30 days’ holiday plus public holidays
- Free breakfast / lunch and office food daily
- Paid travel to work / parking space
- Life insurance
- Long term illness cover
- Personal accident cover
- Summer working hours
- Travel to London on occasion for events
- Wellness benefits
