We’re thrilled to announce that our new charity partner is Smart Works.

Smart Works are a UK charity that exists to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and change the trajectory of their lives. They empower each woman by giving her the clothes, coaching and confidence she needs to succeed.

At Joss Search our mission is to champion hidden heroes, and our partnership with Smart Works is a way to extend our support outside of our core sector.

We know how important having a job is for women; it provides a sense of purpose as well as financial stability. Smart Works provide an essential service to help more women get back into the workplace, and after visiting Smart Works, 72% of women secure a job within a month.

Joss Search will be supporting Smart Works financially, as well as running clothing drives, volunteer days and supporting fundraising efforts from the wider team.

On the partnership announcement, Ben Heathorn, Executive Chairman of Joss Search, said:

“We’re super excited to partner with Smart Works, which is a charity we’ve admired for a number for years, who have inspired and changed the lives of thousands of women over the last nine years. As a business we’ve always been committed to championing hidden heroes, so the partnership feels like the perfect fit. Smart Works have exciting growth plans ahead to expand their service, and we look forward to supporting them, in multiple ways, on that journey.”

Kate Stephens, Chief Executive of Smart Works said:

“The need for the Smart Works service has never been greater and we are working hard to reach an ambitious goal to double the number of women we help each year, to 10,000 by 2025. We are delighted to partner with Joss Search, the team’s passion and enthusiasm for supporting Smart Works is incredible, and with their generous support we can reach even more unemployed women with the clothing, coaching and confidence they need to get the job and transform their lives.”
